1. Bon Iver, For Emma, Forever Ago: hauntingly perfect.
2. Black Mountain, In The Future: a welcome infusion of heavy riffs and psychedelia into my life.
3. MGMT, Oracular Spectacular: fun songs that let you pretend you're still 21.
4. Fleet Foxes, Fleet Foxes: mellow goodness.
5. The Week That Was, The Week That Was: ambitious tunes built around a drummer's vision.
6. Chad VanGaalen, Soft Airplane: not as immediately gripping as the untouchable Skelliconnection but still a fine follow-up.
7. The Dears, Missiles: the gift that keeps giving with every repeat listen.
8. Beach House, Devotion: lullaby music to daydream to, or ride the streetcar with.
9. Kellarissa, Flamingo: part accessible indie pop, part out-there choral experimentation from Vancouver's Larissa Loyva (ex-p:ano).
10. Girl Talk, Feed The Animals: 50 Cent and Cat Stevens? Phil Collins and Busta Rhymes? Aerosmith and Ice Cube. Amazing.
